"As long as we joke, native Kiev will not burn!"
May 25, 2013 in the capital's Central Park near the arch of "Friendship of Nations" held fourteenth Kiev Festival of teams of the Cheerful and Resourceful (KVN) young firefighters in honor of LP Telyatnikov named "How you do not burn, my Kiev?”. Children's KVN Festival of young firefighters was founded by the GSCHS Directorate in Kiev and Voluntary Fire Society of the capital. He was supported by the Department of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of the Kyiv State Administration, its main purpose to draw attention of the younger generation to the problems of fire protection, the need to learn and use basic safety rules.
The general festival partner was the "Foxtrot" Group of Companies as part of a social project "Safety School". Its motto is «It is Comfortable if it is Safe!». The "Foxtrot. Technique for Home” Trade Network transferred to Kiev kindergartens DVDSs with animated series about safety rules "Fox and Trot to Rescue "and placards saying "In Case of Fire Act Right!".
The festival has become the final qualifying game KVN in Kiev. Three metropolitan teams fought there in one place for a trip to the Ukrainian festival squads of young firefighters. They were "the Spalakh" district school number 294 from Desna, "Banzai" from the School of Oriental Languages number 1 from Sviatoshynskyi district and "Anti-Virus" from the School of international relations in Darnytsya. High school students competed in 2 competitions: business card and homework. Teams came to support the special guests of the festival - the widow of the Hero of the Soviet Union Leonid Telyatnikov - Larissa Telyatnikova, Head of the State Service for Emergency Situations of Kiev general Andrew Kutsenko, director of the Department of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of the Kyiv City State Administration Oksana Dobrovolskaya. Greetings said to the participants of the festival and the general partner of the festival security, "How you do not burn, my Kiev?'.
- Our social project "Safety School” is almost the same age as the festival of young firefighters in the capital. I believe that only by working together we will be able to teach children to take responsibility for their own and collective security - Co-founder of the "Foxtrot" Group of Companies Gennady Vykhodtsev said. - Every year, nonproductive injuries killed more than a thousand children. Our task as adults is not only to ensure the safety of children and creating the necessary conditions for living, but also to teach children how to act in danger.
