+1 dream! Foxtrot fulfilled Sofia's dream from the СF "SOS Children's Towns"

The retailer learned about the dream of 12-year-old Sofia from Kharkiv when he received an award for his contribution to the development of corporate social responsibility of business from the expert organization CSR Ukraine at the annual conference "Courageous Business That Changes the Country"

On May 17, while walking in the "Arsen" shopping center in Ivano-Frankivsk ( I. Mykolaychuk St., 2), 12-year-old migrant from Kharkiv, Sofia, with her mother and younger sister, visited the Foxtrot store, where a surprise was already waiting for her. Suddenly, the manager of the store addressed her by name and informed her that something was waiting for her there. Namely, what she dreamed of – a blogger set!

They learned about the girl's dream at Foxtrot when they received a diploma as part of the XIII CSR case competition. On it, in addition to the award for implementing the best CSR practices in 2022, there were quotes from Ukrainian children about their dreams.

Foxtrot's diploma read: “Hello, I want to become a blogger. I will talk about different cities of Ukraine. Ukraine will be with Crimea, it will be independent, it will be beautiful", – this is how 12-year-old Sofia from Kharkiv, a ward of the charity fund "SOS Children's Villages Ukraine", described her dream.

The Foxtrot Group has been a partner of this charitable foundation since 2010, which explains all the following decisions and surprises from the Foxtrot retailer.

– We made the decision to fulfill the girl's dreams immediately after receiving the award. So that after our victory, Sofia was able to fully realize her intentions and desires – to travel around her native country and share the best moments from her travels with her friends. And to add a little magic to the process, we kept it a secret from her," – said Oksana Kovalchuk, PR manager of the Foxtrot network.

Sofia's family are forced migrants from Kharkiv. At the beginning of the war, escaping from shelling, they moved to the Ivano-Frankivsk region. They lived in the Kolomyia district for half a year. Later they moved to the regional center, where they liked it very much. The family has two beautiful daughters – Sofia and Polina. Each of them has their own preferences and dreams. The eldest daughter enjoys dancing and drawing. But in the future, she wants to become a famous blogger, which she drew during one of the classes at "SOS Children's Villages".

"With such a gift, Sofiyka's dream became even more real! Thank you very much to the Children's Villages SOS charity fund and the Foxtrot store!", – said Olena Vitalyivna, Sofiyka's mother.

It should be noted that in April 2023, CSR Ukraine, an expert organization "CSR Development Center" held the annual conference "Courageous business that changes the country" and awarded companies for the implementation of best practices in corporate social responsibility in 2022.

Foxtrot group of companies received an award for the corporate case "Year of War. Partnership for the sake of Ukraine's independence and business strengthening", which corresponds to "Goal #17. Strengthening the means of implementing the Global Partnership in the interests of sustainable development and intensifying its activities." The case of the business is about how synergy with state and commercial partners became a tool in the fight for Ukraine's independence and business survival.
