Foxtrot centralizes logistics and opens a new warehouse in the Kyiv region

"After the loss of the warehouse in Gostomel and a number of related challenges, we are finalizing the restart of the warehouse infrastructure and restoring system operation. Convinced, the new warehouse will allow us to work more efficiently, manage balances more flexibly, reduce the total stock of goods and increase turnover", – Vadym Osynskyi says, head of supply chain management of the Foxtrot network.


Work on the construction of the warehouse began in June, and the facility was ready for operation by the end of September. These are class "A" warehouses with 33 ramps, which significantly increases the throughput in terms of the frequency of replenishment of store shelves, increases the number of suppliers for receiving and transport for the shipment of a larger volume of equipment.


– We were guided by this need last fall, when we considered the project of building a new warehouse, but for known reasons we were forced to suspend it. We set ourselves the same goal when agreeing a decision with co-founders of Foxtrot oin the fourth month of a full-scale war, when no one dared to make global investments, – said Oleksiy Zozulya, CEO of Foxtrot. – It is important that we launched on the eve of the start of the "high season". This allows us to ensure uninterrupted supply of goods to stores or customer delivery and maintain a high level of service.


NB! Foxtrot had 5 warehouses in different parts of Ukraine in 2017 year. Since 2019, the company has optimized its capacities to three warehouses. With the beginning of a full-scale war and after the destruction of the central warehouse in Gostomel by enemy artillery fire (damages – more than UAH 600 million), the retailer rented a reserve warehouse in Lviv and used partner warehouses in the Kyiv region in its operational activities.

In the future, the new warehouse in Kolonshchyna will provide comprehensive logistics work to supply operating stores with goods and fulfill orders placed in the foxtrot.ua online store. As of October 20222, the electronics store has opened 112 stores in 62 cities, of which 6 operate as points of delivery and processing of online orders.
