Foxtrot took 1st place in the National Competition "Charity Ukraine-2023"

The award was received for the case "The help our’s" in the nomination "Charity of medium and small businesses"

On June 20, an awarding ceremony for the winners of the "Charity Ukraine-2023" National Competition – "Charity in Defense of Ukraine" took place in Kyiv. 1,604 applications were evaluated by competition experts, and the best ones were determined in each of the 27 competition nominations. Among them, in the nomination "Charity of medium and small businesses", the case of the Foxtrot network "Helping – we win: how Foxtrot's corporate headquarters "The help our’s" works to strengthen the defenders of Ukraine" won 1st place.

Alevtyna Demutska, press secretary of the Foxtrot Group, and Oksana Kovalchuk, PR manager of the Foxtrot network, received the distinction of the winner of the National Competition "Charity Ukraine" (1st place) – a unique amber figurine "Angel of Goodness" and a diploma.

"The Foxtrot brand has been working on the Ukrainian electronics market for 30 years, and this is our second award in the 17-year history of the charity project competition," – said Alevtyna Demutska. – This is evidence that over 30 years, the values laid down by brand co-founders Valery Makovetsky and Gennady Vykhodtsev in the corporate philosophy have remained unchanged: to love people, to share one's success with others, to be loyal to one's country. The Great War only proved the relevance of these values, and the competition experts noted the effectiveness of the practical actions of the philanthropic brand and corporate volunteers of the Foxtrot "The help our’s" headquarters.

Foxtrot's case submitted to the competition demonstrates how the headquarters work from the inside. Its operation involves more than 50 activists from among business employees, from CEOs to consultants, who manage both operational work and corporate volunteering. They were the workers who became the drivers of the Foxtrot movement to help the Defense Forces for the victory of Ukraine in the war for its independence.

As a result, more than 1,200 official requests from the defenders of Ukraine passed through the hands and hearts of Foxtrot employees during the 2 years of the great war. The company handed over 8,000 pieces of equipment worth UAH 35 million to the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

In addition, the activists of the headquarters initiated the action "Birds of Retribution" to take revenge for the dead colleague-director of the Foxtrot store in Lviv, Oleg Markovych, the founder of the aerial reconnaissance unit 80 ODSHB Foxtrot. First, the company strengthened the collection of corporate volunteers and network buyers with a financial contribution for the purchase of 3 Mavik 3t drones, and then Foxtrot purchased FPV drones for subordinate aerial reconnaissance and 2 more military units for UAH 1 million.

"The help our’s" corporate headquarters is a full-fledged link in the company's work, which has united around itself a significant part of employees. Communication with the military, coordination of the budget and the list of necessary equipment, delivery in the store or shipment directly to the position – all this rests on the shoulders of Foxtrot residents who, in addition to performing the main function, are involved in the work of the headquarters. But the result is worth it! Our equipment effectively helps soldiers shoot down air targets and defend positions, and is usefully used in everyday life, when the defenders have time to recover, – adds Oleksiy Zozulya, the company's executive director. – I am sincerely proud of the headquarters team, which has become an integral part of the all-Ukrainian charity movement. Today, we are all support and support for our defenders, working for a common goal – our Victory."

In 2023, 15 activists of the "The help our’s" headquarters were awarded of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valery Zaluzhny "For a significant personal contribution to the development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, fruitful and dedicated cooperation with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine to protect the territorial integrity of Ukraine."

It should be noted that on February 24, 2022, with the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation on Ukrainian lands, Foxtrot CEO Oleksiy Zozulya initiated the creation of the corporate headquarters The help our’s" to support the defenders. Co-founders of the brand Valery Makovetskyi and Gennadiy Vykhodtsev agreed on the amount of regular technical assistance. The work of the headquarters will continue until the complete victory of Ukraine.

Reference: National competition "Charitable Ukraine" is the only annual all-Ukrainian competition to recognize the best benefactors, volunteers and the most effective charitable initiatives in Ukraine. Foxtrot was already the winner of this contest in 2007, when the rating was called the National Philanthropist of the Year—2007 contest. Then the company took 1st place in the "National Business Structure" nomination with the "Big Heart of a Small Life" project. The project was initiated by the co-founders of GK FOXTROT and consisted of an All-Ukrainian creativity contest among children of orphanages, when almost 13 thousand high school students from all over the country responded to Foxtrot's call and sent their essays about their own vision of themselves in adult life. In 2007, the continuation of the project became a long-term Comprehensive program of support for the personal development of pupils of children's orphanages, developed by "Foxtrot" together with the "Krona" charitable foundation.
