Foxtrot launches new warehouse in Lviv

In April, the omnichannel retailer announced the opening of a reserve center to store its assets

The launch of the new lineup is due to several reasons. The most important one is the loss of control and destruction by the Russian aggressor of the central warehouse in Hostomel. Therefore, it is necessary to create a site for evacuated appliances from stores located in the eastern regions and replenish it with new products. Another important factor is the migration of the population, followed by the consolidation of business positions in the west of the country.

"Since the beginning of the war, we have placed the volumes of evacuated goods in the areas of operating shops. However, the available capacity was not enough, in particular, for large appliances. In addition, the freight for the movement of goods across the country with the beginning of the hostilities has increased several times, which directly affected the rate of evacuation," – Olexii Zozulia, CEO of Foxtrot, said.

In the process of selection and comparison, the company realized that the best option is the Lviv region, given the concentration of stores and geographical location to feed the rest of the network.

Foxtrot chose warehouse with an area of 3 thousand square meters with the option to expand in April-May to 7 thousand.

Foxtrot is currently working on its launch in Lviv, attracting employees from Hostomel to work in the new warehouse and to establish the usual logistics processes. The company says it will help these employees find housing for the period of work.

The retailer also plans to expand the area of the reserve warehouse in Dnipro, which currently stands at 4,000 square meters in order to use it to replenish the central and operating eastern stores.
