Kyiv: Foxtrot passed content of «the boxes of kindness» to SOS Children's Villages Ukraine
Foxtrot has been supporting the SOS Children's Villages Ukraine charitable foundation for several years in a row. Every year, the company reports on donated funds from customers in transparent boxes installed at the counters of several metropolitan stores.
In March employees of the SOS Children's Villages Ukraine charity organization visited four shops in Kyiv: Mishugi, 4 Str., Liberators, 17 Str. Hetmana Str. and Antonovycha, 50 Str. The content of the boxes in these shops showed that the customers managed to collect 9591.30 UAH. These funds will be used to cover the creative needs of children living in foster care at the SOS Children Villages of Brovary.
– Thank you to Foxtrot and the hundreds of indifferent people who support our initiatives with our strong contributions. We help children in difficult circumstances and orphans. Our organization works to prevent orphanage in Ukraine, to develop family-based forms of childcare, to be deprived of parental care, and to support out-of-school youth. In our work, we pay considerable attention to psychological rehabilitation and developmental pursuits. Everyone can join and support our work! - said Natalia Galdeeva, Corporate Social Responsibility Specialist at SOS Children's Villages Ukraine.
Temporarily, charity donation boxes will not be available at these Foxtrot stores, as they require upgrades. However, you can help in another way by sending an SMS to 88070 (10 UAH for Lifecell, Vodafone Ukraine, Kyivstar and TriMob subscribers). It is thanks to the joint support of 16 years of activity of the SOS Children's Villages in Ukraine that more than 250 children have new families, more than 5000 children remain in their families and receive proper parental education and more than 80 thousand children and adults have received assistance.
– It is important for us to be part of this noble, necessary for society and, above all, for children, cause. And it is nice that buyers continue to join our initiatives, leaving a part of their soul in boxes, – added Olexiy Zozulya, Foxtrots director. – We hope that the funds raised will be a worthwhile contribution to purchase art therapy materials for children living in foster care and family-type orphanages at SOS Children's Villages Brovary.
At the beginning of the year, the press service reported that on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of SOS Children's Village International, the Foxtrot brand presented a valuable certificate to the charity organization in Ukraine to hold master-classes for parents and educators in 2020.
