Rested ecologically and cool together with Green Institute and GC «Foxtrot»

On November 20, 2018 in the walls of the Institute of Journalism of the Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University was « Eco-party». Its initiators were the students of the department "Advertising and Public Relations", who picked up the idea of the "Green Institute" from their predecessors within the framework of the educational subject "Organization of the Press Service".

The party began at 12:30 with the opening of the fair, where all those wishing had the opportunity to purchase eco-trinkets from such well-known retailers as "Green Elvis", "Zelena" and "Ooh-la". The popular Kiev-based establishment’s "Sandwich-Sumasbrod" incredibly delicious food court has not left indifferent guests. At 14:10 the environmental marathon was picked up by not less well-known and successful lecturers. So, Anna Ponikarchchuk and Anastasia Martynenko shared the secrets of no waste life from Ozero, and Olga Chernyavska opened some secrets about the organization "Ukraina bez smittia". The lecture of the third speaker Lyudmila Osipchuk from "Lets do it Ukraine" was in the form of a brainstorm and in fact forced the audience to think about sorting garbage and conscious consumption.

The results of the environmental party were summed up by Alevtina Beletskaya, coordinator of the Green Institute project, teacher of the Advertising and PR Department and, at the same time, the press secretary of GC "Foxtrot" - the official partner of the Green Institute. Alevtina shared with the audience the idea of "Green Office", which had been proving its ecological position and struggling with environmental pollution in every possible way for 10 years in a row. Actually, this project has become a prototype of the current GI: "We have come up with this project, because the green office is known as a global program. Many people do it in everyday life, so why not put in place these environmental rules? In almost 10 years, we have real results not only in minimizing the environmental impact, but also in the creation of friendly leader team. The program has never stoppedworking, every year many students, who has invented something new and interesting come to us."

The "Green Office" charitable practice has also impressed the audience because GK "Foxtrot" cares not only about the environment, but also about the nearby people. That is why the pupils felt the indifference of volunteers to dozens of orphanages in Kyiv and it's region, Cherkasy, Kherson, ATO fighters in Luhanschchyna (former students of the IJ), Kyiv medical institutions and low-income families.

The Green Office Volunteer also inspired the Green Institute team: "We made a mark-up specifically to raise funds, which would go in charity. Just next day we will make a volunteer poll in social networks to know, who needs immediate help around. There are a lot of topics that are of concern to us: it's the children's homes, and the homes for the elderly, it's also the protection of animals and, of course, the popularization of eco-themes, through which we all have gathered at this Eco-party ", - Anastasia Otkydac - manager of the Green Institute, a 2-year student at the Institute of Journalism - shares her plans.

The eco-party was finished on a very positive note. Alevtina Beletska, on behalf of her and on behalf of Foxtrot, thanked the young initiative team of the Green Institute, wished young people a lot more success and finally encouraged them to continue their cooperation with a sweet gift.

And students decided not to stop their activities after a successful event and tomorrow they will start active work on new ideas and projects.
